- September: Prof. Bartel is awarded a DoD grant through the Defense Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) for work on Interfacial Control of Thin Film Growth During Molecular Beam Epitaxy.
- September: Prof. Bartel is featured in the Materials Horizons Emerging Investigator Series, recognizing the group's work in computational materials science.
- September: The DMC lab welcomes a new undergraduate member Eliana Scheele, a sophomore in Material Science!
- August: Prof. Bartel teaches "Informatics for Chemistry and Materials Science I - Data-Driven Materials Design and Genomics" at Hokkaido University in Japan.
- August: Adelina and Talia's work on Origins of chalcogenide perovskite instability is published in Journal of Materials Chemistry C! Prof. Bartel is also named an Emerging Investigator by JMCC in conjunction with this paper.
- July: The DMC Lab attends NASSCC: North American Solid State Chemistry Conference. Nathan, Yi-Ting, and Adelina presented posters on electron density prediction, electrochemical redox, and chalcogenide perovskites. Prof. Bartel gave a talk on generative models for materials discovery.
- July: Prof. Bartel is awarded an ENRTF grant for work on the thermodynamics of water splitting and storage in collaboration with Dauenhauer, Leighton, and Frisbie groups.
- July: Nathan’s work on establishing baselines for generative discovery of inorganic crystals is published in Materials Horizons!
